Mantra Stotra... Why chanting stotras?

Human mind, body and the environment around him have a complex relationship with each other and this is well supported by the modern Physics and Biology also. One of the founding fathers of modern Physics, Schrodinger has put his own deep thinking about the metaphysical structure of this universe, in a long essay 'Mind and matter' (Cambridge Univ. Press, 1958). Here, in this essay he has referred to the old Indian scriptures for the wisdom they implied. Thus Indian Philosophy is slowly being recognized by modern science.
Indian Philosophy proposes that this universe was created when Parabrahma 'desired' it. Thus everything in this universe is created out of a 'desire', a wish. Human beings and the circumstances around him, being part of this universe are subject to this law of nature. The desire is rendered into the creation, perfectly, if the process of expressing the desire is intense, pure, and whole.
We have many desires in our lives. The more we bear them in mind, the earlier we achieve those goals. (This principle is used effectively in personality building techniques.) Now, in Indian tradition, it is believed that if one knows a stotra with its meaning and he chants it with purity and intensity, then it helps him in accomplishing the desires expressed in that stotra. This belief itself has helped in keeping these mantras, stotras from being lost for thousands of years. We would like to present to you some of these stotras to help you in your everyday life.http://www.datepanchang.com/stotra.htm
